Situated in the heart of downtown Swisher, the Swisher Community Library is a growing, vibrant addition to this small town. With a collection of over 2000 books, videos, and CDs available to all residents of the Jefferson-Monroe Townships -- including Swisher and neighboring Shueyville -- comfortable reading and meeting areas, and three computers dedicated to Internet access, the Swisher Community Library is wonderful place to relax, unwind, and get lost in a book.
We invite you to browse our collection during our open hours this summer:Monday, Wednesday & Friday 11:00 am to 4:00pm ,Tuesday & Thursday 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am to Noon.
Our knowledgeable staff can help answer any questions you might have, and our many friendly volunteers aim to make your visit a fun and memorable experience.

Story Time Thursdays at 6:30 pm.
Join us on Thursday nights, as the Farmer’s Market winds down, for good stories, songs, crafts and other fun. Story time is open to all, but will work best for preschool kids.
Every Thursday from 4:30 to 7 starting June 9. And we are joining in the fun with some great programs at the Market. The Johnson County Master Gardeners, Yoga Demonstrations, Healthy Eating, and lots more. Programs will start at 5:30 so come shop the market and then catch the show .Vist us @ Facebook
